What are the Bee’s Knee’s and why are we talking about them?
Back in 2016, Rebecca was leading a 5-day Management Development Programme at PageGroup. Delivered one day a month over half a year, the course covered the building blocks for successful management - from creating a high-performance environment, through reflection and insights with Myers-Briggs, to how not just be a manager, but a coach. The course was designed to give new managers not just the skills to help them create happy and high-performing teams, but to also give them the confidence and enthusiasm to embrace their new role as a manager.
Laughs were had, learns were gained and a supportive peer group formed to support each other beyond the workshops. At the end of the final day, the delegates surprised Rebecca with the above card - “You are the Bee’s Knees”, with personalised thank you notes from each of them.
The Bee’s Knees; a whimsical way to describe something of excellence. When it came to launching How Consulting - Rebecca wanted a tagline with humour and personal relevance. And with a belief that everyone can be the Bee’s Knees, with strategic support and development, “Helping you and your teams be the Bee’s Knees” was the perfect phrase.
